Ryo’s: Crows Nest (07 July 2012)

Since it has been over a month since our last visit to Ryo’s, we decided to go back and have their tummy warming ramen for brunch last Saturday. Arriving at 11.45am, we were happy to find that there was no line and were ushered straight to a table for two.

Salt flavoured Pork Soup with roast pork, shallots and sesame seeds

One of M’s favourite dishes at Ryo’s – the soup base is rich in pork bone flavour, but no where as thick in texture as Gumshara’s (which may be preferable by some).

Vegetables noodle soup

I decided to try something different, and got the vegetables noodle soup. In comparison to the salt flavoured pork soup, the soup base for the vegetables noodle was lacking in flavour. However I love Ryo’s chewy bamboo shoots, and this dish was generously filled with these :)
