Both Charlie & Co Burgers and Becasse Bakery have been open for over three years at Westfield Sydney “Food on Five” Level 5 foodcourt, but we thought it was about time we did a blog on them! Since their popular inception when Westfield first opened their food court, both outlets have been frequently visited by us over the past few years – Charlie and Co for their truffle fries and Becasse Bakery for their pastries. Below are some pictures from our recent visit:
Whilst the burgers at Charlie & Co are filling and a good cure for any burger cravings, the parmesan truffle fries are the heart string tuggers for me. They are thick, crunchy tasty morsels of goodness that are richly coated with truffle and parmesan shavings that make them ever so “moreish”. The pastries and tarts that we tried at Becasse Bakery were also all very “moreish” but the peanut brittle and banana tart was the clear winner for me. It consisted of crunchy aromatic peanut brittle slices on top of a buttery tart that was topped with a creamy banana filling. Yum!
